It’s the football off-season, but there’s plenty happening on Gibbons Road.
Yesterday the club made significant progress on its major building project as the steel frame was erected for its new change room facility.
Preparations will continue in the off-season at an increased pace as North Geelong attempts to complete the project by early 2017.
Preparations for a third pitch at Elcho Park are also continuing, with trenches today dug out in preparation for the installation of water sprinklers.
North Geelong would like to say thank you to Steve Tabak of Eco Waste Services for removing all tree stumps from the ground and club legend Rob Cosic, our resident groundskeeper of 10 years, for measuring and preparing the third pitch for each of the last ten years. There is no doubt it will please Rob to see this long-awaited project progressing.
