Lighting upgrade to Pitch 1 coming from a $255k Council grant!

At the season launch, President Tom Pausak announced the club’s application for a $255,000 Council grant for a lighting upgrade on Pitch 1 was successful.

On hand for the announcement were the Deputy Mayor Cr Anthony Aitken and Cr Eddy Kontelj with our Grants Manager Kruno Madjeric and the board.

We look forward to NPL night football on Pitch 1 in our future!

Thanks to the City of Greater Geelong and Geelong Councillors for the wonderful support!

Well done to all those involved to get this great win!

We are looking for Juniors & Miniroos level coaches

North, we have a problem. It’s a good problem, but we need some help nonetheless.

Due to big growth in numbers at Juniors & Miniroos level (👏) we need additional coaches at almost every age group.

There is no need to have coached previously; our committee, network of experienced coaches, and Junior Technical Director will guide & assist you.

Training will be Weds & Fri evening at this stage; the season runs from April-August.

We would dearly love to engage some eager North parents or supporters to help us nurture our Next Gen Warriors 🛡️

Tag anyone who might be keen, email ngwfcjuniors@gmail.com

Geelong Community Cup winners!

Congratulations to our senior men who have won the Geelong Community Cup!

Scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of regular time, sending them straight to penalties. Our boys took the points after a nail-biting shootout, holding their nerve to claim the win over host club Geelong.

Earlier in the day our women went down to Geelong Galaxy in a close match, despite the heat. Only two weeks into their preseason, the girls were disappointed not to bring home the trophy but should be proud of their strong start to season 2024.

Our thanks to Geelong SC for hosting us over the last few days; it’s been another great tournament and an excellent way to start season 2024.

Salou Jallow joins the Warriors!

Exciting news for Warriors Fans!

We’re thrilled to announce Salou Jallow has officially signed with the North Geelong Warriors for the upcoming 2024 season!

His passion, dedication, and skill make him an exciting addition to the squad, and we can’t wait to see Salou in action this year!

Recycling upgrade at Elcho

We are working towards a cleaner, greener more sustainable future!

We are proud to be partnering with Recycle4Change, installing recycling bins around the Elcho Park clubrooms to collect eligible drink containers.

Dispose of your can, beer bottle, water bottle or juice box in one of the clearly marked recycling bins – not only will we be working towards a cleaner, greener future but the club will also receive 10c per eligible item!

Read more about recycle4change and the Victorian Government’s Container Deposit Scheme and get ready to recycle!

Over the last few years our girls’ pathway has gone from strength to strength.

Football for every girl

We are focused on community football as much as elite football –  we want every girl to have a place at the mighty Warriors.

If your child does not get a JPL/Metro spot in 2024 we want them to make our community sides stronger and work for a JPL/Metro spot throughout the season and into 2025.

Squads and players

We will endeavour to accommodate all players’ requirements; our age groups will be treated as one full squad in 2024. We are looking to reward players that excel in the Geelong competition with games in the JPL/Metro competitions (pending compliance with FV regulations).

Players’ attitude, coachability and ability to connect with their teammates will also determine where they fit on the Warriors’ pathway.

Our club is not just focused on football but a safe and comfortable environment for all players, parents and coaches. Read more about our policies and procedures and our how we’ll ensure the club is safe for everyone.

At NGWFC will not tolerate any disrespectful behaviour towards any players, parents, coaches, staff or anyone, whether it be in person or online and anyone found in breach of rules will be asked to leave immediately.

Football department

Our 2024 Womens and Girls Football Department includes some of the biggest names that have donned the red white and blue as players. Now in either administration or coaching, their knowledge and experience will be the key to the Warriors’ success in the years to come. People such as Mijo Trupkovic, Ante Deak, Luisa Kump (current senior player), Michael Anderson, Ante Stosic, Frank Simovic and Ivan Simic are amongst the names we believe will steer the North girls towards a great future on and off the park!
