Female Coach Education Program Opportunity

North Geelong Warriors FC is offering the opportunity for two female current or aspiring coaches to undertake a training program with the club.

The program will provide guidance and education in:

  • Session Planning
  • Team Management
  • Delivering Sessions to a range of sides.
  • Player preparation
  • Injury management
  • Sports First Aid

The course is expected to run over 6 weeks with up to 2 sessions per week and will run mostly at Hume Reserve in North Geelong, with some class sessions included too.

Successful applicants will be mentored by current North Geelong Warriors FC coaching staff.

After the course, the coaches will be offered opportunities to take up ongoing coach, trainer or administrative roles and sponsored to take up official Football Federation Australia or Sports Medicine Australia courses.

Lastly, submissions by close of business on Friday, 24 February will also be considered for Football Federation Victoria’s School Pilot program, where the suitable candidate could receive a contract as a coach for the duration of the Miniroos calendar.
