THE WARNING has been well and truly issued out to the Elcho Park Cardinals by the North Geelong Warriors Legends ahead of their ‘Challenge’ match at Sunday’s Labour Day Festa at Elcho Park...
The Warriors’ Legends’ held their second training session at Hume Reserve on Wednesday night and according to one of the members of the Troupe, the unit looked as sharp as ever.
“Without going into too much detail, the boys looked the part both offensively and defensively out on the track tonight,” team spokesman Tom Trupkovic said after the training session.
“I don’t want to put any fear into the younger lads (Cardinals), but actually, I will,” he added ominously albeit with a smile on his face.
“Not giving away our tactical secrets, but there were some sublime goals from some quality build up work tonight,” continued Trupkovic.
“One goal in particular was world class – from someone who has graced many famous world stadium pitches and rubbed shoulders with the best. He still has the Midas touch!”
According to Trupkovic, it was amazing just to witness the on field magic first hand but it will be nothing like seeing it in action on Sunday at the Festa.
“I would suggest to everyone who reads this, make sure to come down to Elcho Park on Sunday and witness some real world class action. Be there to see more magic happen,” he concluded.
The North Geelong Warriors Legends v Elcho Park Cardinals game will kick off at 3:30pm on the main pitch.
