The North Geelong Croatia (Warriors) family is deeply saddened by the passing of Aldo Siketa, one of the founding fathers of our club. His vision, leadership, and dedication helped lay the foundations of the organisation we proudly represent today.

Alongside Mirko Hrkac, Vinko Radojevic, and Ivan Sesar, Aldo helped form the club in 1967 as a place where newly arrived Croatian migrants could come together and settle into Australian life. He played an influential role in the club's early years, taking on several official positions, including Club President.

In those early days, Aldo and his wife, Anica, opened their home to players and supporters, creating a welcoming environment that reflected the values of family, community, and friendship that continue to define our club.

Aldo's dedication extended across every part of club life. He was one of the key figures behind the creation of North Geelong's junior football program — a legacy that continues today, with his great-grandchildren now playing for the club.

Aldo's legacy reaches far beyond football. He was a passionate advocate for the Croatian community, a tireless volunteer, and a proud custodian of our heritage. Through his leadership, generosity, and commitment, he touched the lives of countless people. His contributions to both the club and the Croatian community were recognised with his induction into the Croatian Soccer Association of Australia's Hall of Fame.

Today, the strength and success of North Geelong Warriors stand as a testament to the vision, sacrifice, and hard work of pioneers like Aldo. His contribution will always be remembered and honoured by our club and the wider community.
